What HD looks like here
People use HD for different sizes. On TikDownTok, the number on the button is the useful part: 1080p is a full HD frame height, 720p is a smaller HD frame, and 540p is a compact file. The list puts a higher resolution above a lower one when both exist.
The size next to the button is a guide to how big the download will be. A 1080p MP4 of a long video is much larger than a 540p copy of a short one.
Why HD is missing for some videos
The picture cannot be larger than what was uploaded and what TikTok still offers for that post. A video filmed or exported at 540p does not gain detail if a downloader stretches it. TikDownTok does not upscale, enhance, or rebuild frames.
If you only see one resolution, that is the best available source file. Check the watermark label too: the clean file and the watermarked file are not always the same size.

Save HD on a phone or a computer
The same options appear in the browser on iPhone, Android, and desktop. A large HD file needs space and a stable connection. If the download stops, paste the link again. Old buttons expire on purpose.
After it finishes, the MP4 is in your browser downloads. Phone guides explain how to move that file into Photos or Gallery.
