Saving TikTok downloads on a computer
On Windows, Mac, and Linux, downloads normally go to your Downloads folder.
Download the file
- Copy the post address from your browser or the TikTok Share menu.
- Paste it into TikDownTok and click Get download options.
- Click the download option you want.
Find it
- Open your browser’s download list: Ctrl+J on Windows and Linux, ⇧⌘J in Chrome on Mac, or ⌥⌘L in Safari.
- Or open the Downloads folder in File Explorer or Finder.
If the file opens instead of saving
- Some browsers play videos in a new tab. Right-click the video and choose Save video as.
- You can also change your browser settings to ask where to save each file.
Good to know
Browsers and system versions behave differently, and menus can change over time. If a step looks different on your device, look for a Downloads or Files option in your browser menu.
